Tavira Garden is an attractive complex of elegant apartments and villas, each different from its neighbour, set in lovely mature gardens which are immaculately maintained. The pretty white low-rise buildings are of high quality and have been carefully designed to give residents peace and privacy. The views from their balconies and roof terraces look out over palm-trees and the colourful flowers of hibiscus, bougainvillea and jacaranda to the red-tiled roof-tops of Tavira town and the sea beyond.

The facilities offered by Tavira Garden may be enjoyed freely by anyone staying there. They include two swimming-pools (one with an adjoining children's pool) surrounded by sun-loungers and plentiful shade if required. In addition there is a gym, a tennis court, and an enclosed children's play area. The central reception area adjacent to the main pool is manned by English-speaking staff who can help with car hire, excursions, etc.; it contains a restaurant which serves snacks, lunches, and evening meals between about 10am and 10pm (closed Tuesdays), and a bar with comfortable seating both inside and on a shady terrace outside. (NOTE: The restaurant is sometimes closed at quiet times of the year.) In addition there is a small lounge with TV, card tables and books available for borrowing.

There is ample free parking space around the complex.

A further advantage of Tavira Garden is that construction work began in 1991 and is long since completed. No further building is envisaged, or even possible, at this peaceful and relaxing complex.
